This section describes the tasks associated with downgrading SolOS software, and backing up and restoring configuration database files on Solace routers. It also describes some general system maintenance tasks, such as shutting down and restarting redundant Solace routers that are using Guaranteed Messaging.
The tasks associated with upgrading SolOS software on Solace routers are described in the applicable SolOS-TR Release Notes.
The information provided in this section is not restricted to specific software and hardware versions. However, the Solace routers within a messaging network cannot differ by more than one major or minor SolOS software version. Also, features available to a newer SolOS release do not work with routers that are running older SolOS releases.
