Platform Packages and Features in Solace Cloud

Solace organizes capabilities and features into the following platform package levels: 

  • Foundation—This package provides high-performance event meshes and event broker services. It is an ideal solution for your event-driven applications and event-driven architecture (EDA) where the demand for low-latency and performant messaging is mission critical. This package includes standard event broker management features.

  • Accelerate—This package provides capabilities that permit you to design, better manage, and monitor an EDA between different groups within your organization with your messaging services. This package adds features in Solace Event Portal and Solace Insights to help you get into production faster and more effectively.

  • Scale—(Recommended) This package is ideal for most organizations because it offers the full capabilities of Solace Platform. This package can reduce the time to add value to your business goals and allows you to:

    • Embrace a performant and robust solution.
    • Use advanced event mesh design and configuration capabilities that provide everything that is required to help your organization successfully adopt an EDA.

    This package includes:

    • Advanced features to quickly scale your EDA, such as Solace Schema Registry, API management for Event Portal.
    • Advanced observability features in Solace Insights and distributed tracing.
    • Includes support for Dedicated Clusters and Customer-Controlled Clusters.

After you select your package, you then choose your event brokers, application services (sometimes referred to as Add-Ons), and success services (mechanical support, success management, training, and monitoring subscription). All Solace Messaging APIs and REST APIs for Solace Cloud are available as part of all package levels.

The features described in our documentation reflect the Scale package, offering full access to all features and capabilities such as distributed tracing, Schema Registry, Event Mesh, and API Management. The Foundation and Accelerate packages may not include these capabilities.
