Working with Agent Meshes

You can view and manage some elements of your agent mesh in Solace Agent Mesh Manager; however most configuration tasks are performed outside of Solace Cloud. You can perform the following tasks in Agent Mesh Manager:

Viewing Agent Mesh Details

The Agent Mesh Manager Details tab displays information about your agent mesh. To view the details for an agent mesh, perform these steps:

  1. Log in to the Solace Cloud Console if you have not done so yet. The URL to access the Cloud Console differs based on your authentication scheme. For more information, see Logging In to the Solace Cloud Console.
  2. On the navigation bar, select Agent Mesh Manager.
  3. At the top-left, select the environment containing the agent mesh.
  4. Click the name of the agent mesh you want to view.

The Agent Mesh Manager Details tab displays information about your agent mesh. The available details include:

  • The agent mesh status (for example Running, Not Deployed)
  • The Solace Agent Mesh Enterprise and Solace Agent Mesh Manager Cloud platform version. The combined version is expressed as: <Solace Agent Mesh Enterprise>-<Solace Agent Mesh Manager Cloud platform version>, for example: 1.143.2-1.
  • The connected event broker service and its cloud region. You can click the event broker service name to open its Status tab in a new browser tab.
  • The agent mesh ID.
  • Single sign-on (SSO) authentication status (Enabled or Disabled).
  • If SSO is disabled, the usernames and passwords for the Agent Mesh Manager and Agent Mesh User users.
  • Agent mesh creation and update details.
  • The list of operations performed on the agent mesh.

Opening an Agent Mesh in the Agent Mesh Web Interface

You can open an agent mesh in the Agent Mesh web interface from the list of agent meshes or the agent mesh Details and Manage tabs.

To open the Agent Mesh web interface from the list of agent meshes, perform these steps:

  1. On the navigation bar, select Agent Mesh Manager.
  2. At the top-left, select the environment containing the agent mesh.
  3. In the list of agent meshes, click Actions for the agent mesh you want to open in the Agent Mesh web interface.
  4. Select Open Agent Mesh.
  5. If SSO is not configured, log in using the management access credentials provided on the Details tab.

Updating the Agent Mesh Name and Description

To update the name and description of an agent mesh in Agent Mesh Manager, perform these steps:

  1. On the navigation bar, select Agent Mesh Manager.
  2. At the top-left, select the environment containing the agent mesh.
  3. In the list of agent meshes, click Actions for the agent mesh you want to update in the Agent Mesh web interface.
  4. Select Edit Settings.
  5. Update the Name and Description as needed.
  6. Click Save Agent Mesh.

Deleting an Agent Mesh

You can delete agent meshes in Agent Mesh Manager. Agent meshes can be deleted only if all components in the agent mesh have been deleted first.

Before you delete an agent mesh you must:

  • Delete all components from the agent mesh using the Solace Agent Mesh CLI or the Agent Mesh web interface.
  • Undeploy the agent mesh.

When you undeploy an agent mesh, it is removed from the Datacenter but its details remain in the Solace Cloud database and you can redeploy it later. Deleting an agent mesh permanently removes it from Solace Cloud.

To delete an agent mesh, perform these steps:

  1. Delete all components from the agent mesh using the Solace Agent Mesh CLI or the Agent Mesh web interface.
  2. Log in to the Solace Cloud Console if you have not done so yet. The URL to access the Cloud Console differs based on your authentication scheme. For more information, see Logging In to the Solace Cloud Console.
  3. On the navigation bar, select Agent Mesh Manager.
  4. At the top-left, select the environment containing the agent mesh.
  5. In the list of agent meshes, click Actions for the agent mesh you want to undeploy.
  6. Select Undeploy.
  7. Click Undeploy Agent Mesh.

    The undeployment takes a few minutes to complete. When the action is complete, the agent mesh status changes to Not Deployed.

  8. Click Actions for the undeployed agent mesh.
  9. Select Delete.
  10. Type DELETE in the confirmation field.
  11. Click Delete.
