Viewing and Scheduling Kubernetes Version Upgrades in Dedicated Clusters

Customers with Dedicated Clusters can view the Kubernetes version support status for the clusters in their Private Regions in the Private Regions tab of the Solace Cloud Console. If the Kubernetes version for your Private Region is nearing its end of support date, or is out of support, you can schedule a cluster upgrade in Calendly directly from the Private Regions tab. You can determine if a Kubernetes version in your Private Region can be updated in two ways:

Before scheduling a Kubernetes version upgrade for a Private Region, review the considerations.

If the Kubernetes version is near the end of support, or support has ended, you can schedule an upgrade.

You can also reschedule an upgrade to another time, or cancel an upgrade if your selected upgrade date doesn't meet your organization's requirements.

Considerations for Viewing and Scheduling Kubernetes Version Upgrades

Here are some considerations when viewing and scheduling Kubernetes cluster upgrades for your Private Regions using the Cloud Console:

  • You must have the Administrator role to see the Private Regions tab in the Cloud Console and to access the associated Private Regions page.

Viewing Kubernetes Version Support Status for a Private Region

You can use the Private Regions tab in the Cloud Console to view the support status for Kubernetes versions in any of your Private Regions. To view the Kubernetes cluster support status, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Solace Cloud Console if you have not done so yet. The URL to access the Cloud Console differs based on your authentication scheme. For more information, see Logging In to the Solace Cloud Console.

  2. On the navigation bar, click User & Account  > Private Regions.
  3. In the Private Regions table, look for the Kubernetes cluster whose support date you want to view. You can filter the list of Private Regions using the Search field. The End of Support Date column shows the following information for each Private Region:
    • No date—The end of support date for the Kubernetes version cannot be retrieved. This can occur for Customer-Controlled Clusters when viewing this page. Customer-Controlled Cluster upgrades are your responsibility.
    • Date in black text with a caution icon—The Kubernetes cluster's end of support date. You can proactively schedule an upgrade to ensure the cluster remains in support.
    • Date in red text with a red circled X icon—The Kubernetes cluster is out of support. You should schedule an upgrade immediately, or Solace will schedule the upgrade in the next available maintenance window.
  4. (Optional) Hover over the date in the End of Support Date column to view additional support date information. You may also have the option to:
