datadog.agent.running |
not applicable | 60 | ha_role, maas_ha_role |
Indicates whether the Insights Agent is running and forwarding metrics. This metric serves as a heartbeat signal and is emitted approximately every 60 seconds when the agent is healthy. The metric value is 1 when the agent is running. This metric is particularly important for self-managed event broker deployments (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Appliance) where Solace has no visibility into the customer environment after deployment. For self-managed deployments with third-party forwarding enabled, this metric is forwarded to the configured observability platform (Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, or generic OTLP endpoints). You can use this metric to monitor agent health and create alerts when the metric stops appearing, indicating that the agent has stopped running or is unable to forward metrics. For more information about monitoring self-managed Insights Agent deployments, see Monitoring Insights Agent Health for Self-Managed Event Brokers. |
