Changing the Name of an Event Broker Service

You can change the name of an existing event broker service provided your have one of the following roles:

  • Mission Control Manager
  • Mission Control Viewer with Manager access
  • Mission Control User with Manager access.

The name you choose must be unique within your account. If the name of the event broker service isn't unique, you get an error and the name change doesn't occur.

You can change an event broker service name in two ways:

From Services page in Cluster Manager
  1. Log in to the PubSub+ Cloud Console if you have not done so yet. The URL to access the Cloud Console differs based on your authentication scheme. For more information, see Logging into the PubSub+ Cloud Console.
  2. Select Cluster Manager on the navigation bar.
  3. Select the event broker service you want to rename, click Actions and select Rename.
  4. Update the name in the New service name field. A valid name can be up to 50 characters, and may include alphanumeric characters, dashes, or underscores.
  5. Click Rename Service.
From the detailed service information page
  1. Log in to the PubSub+ Cloud Console if you have not done so yet. The URL to access the Cloud Console differs based on your authentication scheme. For more information, see Logging into the PubSub+ Cloud Console.
  2. Select Cluster Manager on the navigation bar.
  3. Select the event broker service you want to rename.
  4. Hover your cursor over the name of the service and do one of the following actions to edit the name:
    • Click the name to edit it.
    • Click Edit to modify the name, which only appears after you hover over the service.
  5. Update the name. A valid name can be up to 50 characters in length, and may include alphanumeric characters, dashes, or underscores.
