Release Version Management and Best Practices
For all mature production deployments, Solace recommends that you use:
- Long-Term Support (LTS) for event broker releases 10.25 and later
- Production Long-Term Support (LTS) for event broker releases prior to 10.25
For all PubSub+ event broker Production, Production LTS, and LTS releases that are in full support, Solace regularly releases maintenance updates that address security vulnerabilities and critical bug fixes. Solace recommends that you update your event brokers and event broker services to the most recent maintenance updates.
You will receive Product Notifications from Solace regarding the availability of those maintenance updates. It is your responsibility to review these notifications and update your event brokers and event broker services. To update the email address these notifications are sent to, or associate other email addresses with your account, please contact Solace.
Rolling releases are available as of 10.25.1. Rolling releases are generally-available releases intended for new feature introduction and integration that occur every two weeks after the LTS release. Rolling releases are supported for two years but do not receive updates through maintenance releases. If you use Rolling releases, Solace recommends that you update to the most recent Rolling release to address security vulnerabilities and critical bug fixes.
For more information about the availability and release type of each PubSub+ product, see Support Dates for Release Versions.
