Viewing User Details in Broker Manager

The User Details view provides information about your authentication status, session timing, and access levels across Message VPNs, helping you troubleshoot connectivity issues, monitor session expiration times, and verify that you have the appropriate permissions to perform administrative tasks.

To view details about the current user, perform the following steps:

  1. Open Broker Manager. For instructions, see Using Broker Manager with Self-Managed Event Brokers.

  2. Click the user  icon.

  3. Select User Details.

The User Info page displays details about the current user, including:

  • Global Access Level—The access permissions assigned to the user across the entire event broker. For more information, see CLI User Access Levels.

  • Username—The unique identifier for the current user account.

  • Session Active—Whether the current user's session is active or not.

  • Session Id—The Id number associated with the current user's session.

  • Current Broker Time—The current date and time on the event broker.

  • Session Creation Time—The date and time when the current user's session was established.

  • Session Hard Expiry Time—The absolute date and time when the user session will expire regardless of activity. For more information, see Broker Manager Sessions.

  • Session Idle Expiry Time—The date and time when the session will expire due to inactivity. By default, the event broker terminates idle sessions after 15 minutes. For more information, see Broker Manager Sessions.

  • Message VPN Access Level—The access permissions assigned to the user for each Message VPN. If your event broker has a large number of Message VPNs, you can search for a specific Message VPN by including its name in the search box.
