Rotating Event Broker Service Passwords

Rotating passwords for an event broker service updates the login credentials to PubSub+ Broker Manager for that service and updates the Cloud Console links to Broker Manager with the new credentials. Users with the Mission Control Manager role, can rotate passwords for users with Mission Control Manager, Mission Control Editor, and Mission Control Viewer permissions. The ability to rotate passwords for users with Mission Control Manager permissions is available only for event broker services version 10.10 and later. Rotating passwords does not affect the login credentials for accounts in PubSub+ Cloud .

To rotate passwords for an event broker service:

  1. Log in to the PubSub+ Cloud Console if you have not done so yet. The URL to access the Cloud Console differs based on your authentication scheme. For more information, see Logging In to the PubSub+ Cloud Console.
  2. Select Cluster Manager from the navigation bar.
  3. Select the event broker service that you want to rotate the passwords for. If the event broker service is not listed, make sure you have the right environment selected. For more information, see Selecting Environments.
  4. Select the Manage tab, and then click Advanced Options.
  5. On the Rotate Broker Passwords tile, select the levels of user permissions that you want to rotate the passwords for.

  6. Click Rotate Passwords.
  7. In the dialog that appears, click Rotate.

You can verify the updated password for the event broker service by selecting the Manage tab and expanding the PubSub+ Broker Manager - Web Application tile.
