On / Standby Button
The physical (
) on/standby button located on Solace Appliance Event Brokers can be used to toggle appliance event broker power on or to a low power state. The button can be activated without the cooperation of any software or operating system on the appliance event broker.
The on/standby button is located on the rear panel of a Solace 3530 and Solace 3560. This button can be pressed with your finger.
Power On
To power on an appliance event broker, press the on/standby button. To power on a CHS-3560AC-08-A chassis, press and hold the on/standby button for three seconds.
Power Off
To manually turn off power to the appliance event broker, hold the on/standby until the system powers down (this typically takes 10 seconds or less).
Do not use the on/standby button unless necessary because it restarts the event broker, which will cause a disruption to service. However, if an appliance event broker fails to respond for an extended time period, use of this button may be necessary to correct the issue.
