Selecting the Right Credentials to Access Event Broker Services

Selecting the right set of credentials to access your event broker service depends on what you want to accomplish as follows:

Connecting to Your Event Broker Service as a Messaging Client

PubSub+ Cloud configures a default set of client credentials when a service is created. You can select the service in Cluster Manager to find the client username and password. To do this, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to the PubSub+ Cloud Console if you have not done so yet. The URL to access the Cloud Console differs based on your authentication scheme. For more information, see Logging In to the PubSub+ Cloud Console.

  2. On the navigation bar, select Cluster Manager .
  3. Select the event broker service that you want to get the client username and password for. If the event broker service is not listed, make sure you have the right environment selected. For more information, see Selecting Environments.
  4. Select the Connect tab.
  5. Click any of the messaging protocol tiles to expand it.
  6. Click the message protocol that you're interested in.
  7. Under the Connection Details section, your username, password, and host URI that's used to connect to the event broker service is shown.

Managing Your Event Broker Service

You can perform basic administration in the PubSub+ Cloud Console. You will need to use the event broker service's user credentials to access external tools that provide advanced administration capabilities for the event broker service.

  1. Log in to the PubSub+ Cloud Console if you have not done so yet. The URL to access the Cloud Console differs based on your authentication scheme. For more information, see Logging In to the PubSub+ Cloud Console.

  2. On the navigation bar, select Cluster Manager .
  3. Select the event broker service that you want to get the username and password for. If the event broker service is not listed, make sure you have the right environment selected. For more information, see Selecting Environments.
  4. Select the Manage tab.
  5. Beneath the Other Management Tools section, click any of the following tiles to see the event broker service's username and password for the respective tool:
    • SEMP - REST API
    • Broker Manager
    • SolAdmin - Desktop application
